During live demonstrations, students observed autonomous navigation, intelligent obstacle avoidance, and multimodal natural language interaction. They also learned how AI algorithms are transformed into physical robotic systems capable of operating in complex commercial environments.

Many students connected the demonstrations with concepts they had studied in class and raised questions about robot perception, decision-making, human–robot interaction, and practical deployment.

Understanding the Journey from Research to Commercialization

PadBot Robotics also presented a technical session titled “Exploring the Frontiers of Embodied Intelligent Service Robots.”

Drawing on years of research, product development, and commercialization experience, the presentation reviewed the evolution of embodied AI technology and explained how robotic concepts progress from laboratory prototypes to scalable commercial products.

The discussion also addressed practical industry challenges, including cost control, scenario adaptation, product iteration, system reliability, and large-scale deployment. The interactive session encouraged students to think beyond technical performance and consider how innovation must respond to real customer needs and operating conditions.

PadBot Robotics

As a technology company founded by South China University of Technology alumni, PadBot Robotics believes that enterprises play an important role in both technological innovation and talent development. By opening its technologies, products, and application scenarios to students, the company hopes to inspire more young people to understand the value of robotics and explore future careers in artificial intelligence and engineering.

PadBot Robotics will continue supporting science and technology education across the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, contributing industrial expertise and practical resources to the development of the next generation of innovative talent.
